Come on young ladies. Supper’s over, time to start dancing again!
I am ready Sir!
Sometimes, reaching out and taking someone’s hand is the beginning of a journey.
At other times, it is allowing another to take yours.

Miller’s Knightley is the perfect foil to Garai’s feisty Emma; he is a gentle soul, almost unassuming, yet he manages to bring out the subtle humour of the character. There is an essential stillness to Miller, which means Knightley’s internal struggle with his feelings for Emma is beautifully nuanced through the tiniest of movements, expressions or inflections of his voice. Till now that she was threatened with its loss, Emma had never known how much of her happiness depended on being first with Mr. Knightley, first in interest and affection.

I adore JLM’s performace as Mr Knightley. It was so achingly good. His face, his expressions, those eyes! He did the character justice.
